It seems like only yesterday when I wrote an email like this for Christmas. Where has the time gone to?
For us at SCMP Events, we certainly had a busy, productive start to 2021. In less than six weeks, the team has developed and launched five different events on diverse topics such as e-commerce, cloud computing, Hong Kong education, US-Asia relations, and women entrepreneurship.
The weeks ahead is looking no less exciting, if a bit daunting. At the moment, we are preparing for our biggest event this quarter, China Conference: Southeast Asia which now has a line-up of some 50+ speakers. They will be convening virtually to discuss how the region is taking steps to economically recover from the devastating pandemic that has defined the year 2020, against a backdrop of a resetting US-China relations.
We are also looking at the launch of two major new events — Women Of Our Time to be held on March 8 in celebration of International Women’s Day, and Healthcare Summit on March 31 for the local community to regroup, recharge and restrategize the next normal in Hong Kong’s healthcare sector.
The team and I were able to embark on such a rapid journey of transformation thanks in no small part to your support, patience and understanding. Because of you, we were able to continue to experiment with new ways of running events that are best fit all of our stakeholders, and pave the foundation for a sustainable future for SCMP Events.
